Rueger Softball Complex features four softball diamonds with 300-foot fences, a concession/restroom building with a second level observation deck; underground irrigation system; tournament quality lighting; electronic scoreboards; landscaped grounds; and a large play area shielded from stray balls with a net. The complex, located off S. Kansas Avenue near the Country Club Shopping Center and Kansas National Guard, opened in 1999 -- the result of a partnership of the city of Topeka, the Kansas National Guard and Topeka softball players, who contributed more than $400,000 to the project. Its gardens provide bright color at the sunny complex. Picnic benches leave plenty of spots to sit and eat. And the big play area gives kids something to do when they tire of games.

Memories
I know this park, I have been there and it recalls my old memories. I had a lot of fun and memories in this park when we went for a picnic for the first time. I can still remember my crocs shoes thrown away by my friend to make a prank on me and that day I walked bare footed the whole park, the whole day. This time again we are planning to have get together picnic at the park and can't wait for that day and recall my old memories after a year.
Great play area
This playground will keep the kids busy during games.
