Located just to the west of the Topeka Public Schools' Burnett Administrative Center, at 624 SW 24th, the hill at Quinton Heights is a locally famous sledding destination on snow-covered winter days. Thousands of Topekans over the years have zipped down the hill on sleds of all kinds, only to trudge back up the hill for another thrilling ride -- time after time. The bottom of the hill now features two soccer fields. Students enjoying a snow day can slide happily knowing that while they play the school district superintendent will likely be at work in his office, which overlooks the fun.
