Ward-Martin Creek stocked with trout

Ward-Martin Creek in Auburndale Park, located at 2400 S.W. Perry, will be stocked with trout at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 7 by the Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism Community Fisheries Assistance Program.

Trout will be restocked throughout the season. The program is designed to provide fishing opportunities in high-density population areas.

A special trout stamp is required for trout fishing at Auburndale Park. The stamp can be obtained at the KDWPT Region 2 Office, 300 S.W. Wanamaker Rd. in Topeka, or from fishing license vendors. Fishing licenses are also required for patrons ages 16-64. Park hours are 6 a.m. to 11p.m.

Shawnee County Parks and Recreation assists KDWPT in their efforts to enhance fishing opportunities throughout the state.
