Topeka trout return

Ward-Martin Creek in Auburndale Park, located at 2400 S.W. Perry, will be stocked with trout at 8 a.m. November 23 by the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks as part of their Community Fisheries Assistance Program. Trout will be restocked throughout the season. The program is designed to provide fishing opportunities in high-density population areas.

A special trout stamp is required for trout fishing at Auburndale Park. The stamp can be obtained at the KDWP Region 2 Office, 300 S.W. Wanamaker Rd. in Topeka, or from fishing license vendors. Fishing licenses are also required for patrons ages 16-64. Park hours are 6 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Parks & Recreation of Topeka assists KDWP in their efforts to enhance fishing opportunities throughout the state.
